Savory Black Beans

1 ½ Tablespoons salad oil

1 medium-sized onion, coarsely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

4 cups cooked black beans, drained and rinsed

½ cup of the black bean liquid

1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

salt

1 cup shredded jalapeño

4 cups cooked corn kernels

12 cups of tortilla chips

Cilantro sprigs or leaves

Procedure:

1. Prepare lime salsa by mixing the lime salsa ingredients in a bowl, cover and refrigerate.

2. Prepare savory black beans:

Heat the salad oil in a medium frying pan.

Sauté the onion and garlic until onion softens (8-10 minutes).

Add beans, bean liquid, and vinegar to onion mixture and coarsely mash beans with a spoon.

Season with salt according to taste.
